Why don’t you focus on making a better education system that works just as well in urban and impoverished areas then? Or just try to tackle poverty in the US? That way we stop rejecting over qualified individuals and letting in less qualified individuals
Harvard & Yale both have massive assets, & a shameful history of rejecting “overqualified” minorities, such as Jews, Asians, educated Catholics, & legacies (heirs) of their own alumni pool, so both should be founding a 2nd campus to serve these groups willing to pay the fees.
For Harvard, building a campus west of PorterSq rail stop, Fitchburg by altitude & airport, usefully named Radcliffe College, would allow sharing application pool & some facilities & faculty with Harvard College. Higher fee paying overqualified students would fund infrastructure.
You should keep quiet so as not to put your put in your mouth. This case looks like pretty clear cut violation of Title IX . Affirmative action is fine...to a point, not 400 point average SAT differences.
Kristen, what is optimal racial diversity? Harvard's class reflects national average of African Americans today despite big academic disparities. Should we also do better on ideological diversity, class diversity, religious diversity, etc?
The framing of this lawsuit as an "attempt to tear down affirmative action" is terrible and insensible. Please put yourself in the shoes of an Asian-American applicant.
