hot take: lich king is not actually a good card

Not universally good, no. But good in decks that seek out a long value game.

i think there's a lot less value in it than initially appears because the cards you get are so situational and reactive

But objectively powerful for their mana cost, if you create time to develop them. Same as Ysera, and I'd day the DK cards are much better.

ysera gives you threats and 2 mana board wipe+damage. lich king doesn't do that at all.
