Yeah I know what you mean. Do you think that's just a byproduct of the format. in the NBA, and other team sports, these guys play against each other multiple times over multiple seasons, whereas with HS, one could be eliminated at any point and time.
I’m not sure. Maybe it’s the personalities involved? Like, you want alpha-competitive players who go at it, with a little trash taking mixed in. Then you have 2 fan bases equally wantin their player 2 win as much as they want their foe 2 lose. @Amnesiac_HS tried to do this

That’s an interesting point. I believe you’re right, most of the big names in hearthstone aren’t that extreme in their competitive nature. As you correctly stated,
