Are there really enough cards in there to support the quest? Or is it a case of playing it since you don’t usually use turn 1 anyway so might as well use the turn?

Rushing to complete the quest isn’t the goal. It’s a tool to aid you in certain matchups while still utilizing the broken Highlander cards. You’ll learn to be efficient with cards that do generate value to complete the quest.

It allows you to kill control decks. The ultimate combo is vargoth, arcane giant, play quest reward...you then get two turns kill him (or stabilize at the least). The versatility of having the Highlander cards leads you to having unique win conditions. Takes time to get used to
