I don’t think New Orleans has that degree of leverage.
Their leverage is a Celtics bidding war. Not to mention they win the game of chicken since the Lakers are gonna have to use their cap space this summer or sell to LBJ we have to wait 1 MORE year with 1 year contracts to sign AD the following offseason

And that leverage is gone if AD and Rich Paul tell Boston (who are notoriously reticent to part with their assets as it is) that they aren't willing to re-sign with them.
