Can you give me an example of what you mean? I think there is a similar misconception that Aggro Decks are mindless, when there are many decisions that go into when to trade, hedging against possible board clears, etc.
The video above gives some great examples. In short, you may win on tempo alone with keleseth procs and minion chip damage, others by outvaluing your opponent with Hagatha cards, others by just generating card advantage and controlling the board, and the rest with full combo

Yes, Hagatha makes that deck miserable to face because it's another out for them if pieces of their combo are buried at the bottom the deck. It typically extends the game, which either allows them to get the combo or survive with other tools.

It reminds me of Freeze Mage, which was thoroughly unfun to play against. I know that deck took skill to pilot as well; can only speak from the other side of the board. :)
