2/ I noticed a tendency in myself when I had some arbitrary number of books to read (an outcome)that I tended to pick out the shortest and lightest books and avoided the longest and densest ones.

3/ Instead, I committed to reading an hour per day (a process) and tackling whichever books I thought would most impact my thinking.

4/ This helped me both prioritize some denser books I’d been avoiding and made me quicker to quit books that didn’t seem worth the effort.
