To some extent this is understandable given there is indisputably nothing we can do to change the past, but at least an assertion to be made we can arguably do something about the future. If we didn't worry about dying we'd always wait until tomorrow to do that important thing.

I worry not of death for it holds no power once one has accepted the inevitable disintegration of all things. I fear only that my time was wasted if one is to become immortal he must pursue his path to the extreme there is no time to waste.
