The console war toxicity is so bad like I honestly think it's worse than it's ever been. Then you got those PC assholes who come in and say go buy a PC it's like not everyone is PC player not everyone likes to play on a PC some just prefer to play on consoles and that's okay.

Consoles are just pcs with custom OSs. You can plug a PC into a TV, it costs about the same, and supports controllers. Games are 95% cheaper and there are more options.

it is exhausting!! but to fair, i think part of dismantling it means these brands themselves need to re-examine how they are competing and marketing. this stuff didn't come out of nowhere, it was fed into.

This stuff was happening over three decades ago, long before the manufacturers were pushing any notionnof brand loyalty. Its the individuals that are the problem, but these companies don't really do much to prevent it...despite calling it out like Spencer has here.
