I think it’s strange to write that people don’t want to speak up about a stressful toxic workplace because they’re afraid of losing their dream job. That’s not a dream job, that’s a job that allows you to draw a salary and get experience while you look for your dream job.

For some people, just being able to step in the door of a dev studio is a dream. Not everyone starts in the industry with "essential" game dev skills like art or engineering. Those developing those essentials skills can end up getting pigeonholed into "non-essential" roles anyway

I can't wait for $100 standard edition games developed in the U.S. That's OK, though, just like the auto industry moved out of Detroit the game industry will outsource the work to foreign companies.
