An office worker hit in the head by a teargas canister just now in Central. This past weekend, a man died in Iraq after being hit in the head by a teargas canister. Still, #HK police employ teargas recklessly.pic.twitter.com/1fgBD3CPhw

Looking up Pedder St now from Connaught Rd- protesters as far as the eye can see. It’s beautiful: office workers, young people, all kinds of ordinary citizens have just stood down the police. They may not attack us again until evening.pic.twitter.com/gPBkTorB10
.@ray_slowbeat @loktinau @ChuHoiDick Kwok Ka-ki, Gary Fan, Lam Cheuk-ting & Leung Yiu-chung: We’re all with you at your initial trial hearing, 2:30 Eastern Magistrates’ Court. Wanted to be there but we’ve just taken over Central & must fight to keep it. Stand strong! #WeShallWin
Thousands are now marching east on Connaught Rd from Pedder St. If you ever wanted to join the revolution but haven’t yet, the time is now.pic.twitter.com/cymIlaYeyp
We got to near PLA Garrison HQ Central & then, in typical #BeWater fashion, turned around and headed back west toward Central.pic.twitter.com/TvV00WuN3b
‘They shoot, they murder, they are well-paid...’ about the #HK police state, on an Armani video billboard in Central.pic.twitter.com/fbj75phsG0

Just got news of the old man set on fire in Ma On Shan, presumably by a protester. I can’t emphasise enough: it’s entirely unacceptable to attack civilians, let alone as gruesomely as this. If we say the police must pay for their crimes, we must too. I pray for the victim.
Apparently an image of the man after he was set on fire. It’s said he has 2nd degree burns to 30% of his body. Every protester I talk to strongly condemns the attack on him. No more attacks on civilians!pic.twitter.com/rBUuEHTmmr
Police now advancing eastward from Sheung Wan to Central on Des Voeux Rd & shooting teargas at a mostly empty street. Most protesters have gotten the warning & cleared out.pic.twitter.com/aiZ86IQjXt
A Bank of China branch is on fire near where the police are moving toward Central on Des Voeux Rd.pic.twitter.com/VKK02pMc7p
For all of the Bank of China branches ‘renovated’ around #HK, this is the first time I’ve seen the old BoC HQ building spraypainted, windows broken.pic.twitter.com/EtFX9GMyCI
The exodus from Central to Admiralty. I thought police would wait til evening to attack us, but after lunch, numbers dropped as people returned to work. At a crucial moment to escalate, #HK people blinked. Now we’re on the run again.pic.twitter.com/WaClduenKR

In the 2nd major crackdown on pro-democracy leaders since protests began, 7 Legco members appeared in court to face charges of violating Legco’s Powers & Privileges Ordinance. Released on bail. Next hearing: Jan 13https://news.rthk.hk/rthk/en/component/k2/1491345-20191111.htm?spTabChangeable=0 …
Important context: court threw out govt case against Long Hair on grounds Legco members couldn’t be tried under the Ordinance as it was to protect Legco members from non-members. Now govt’s back at it again, 7 more times!
20 pro-democracy Legco members have faced 30 trials since #UmbrellaMovement, out of about 28 total. Imagine a place where govt has put 2/3 of the parliamentary opposition on trial. That place is #HK. No wonder people protest.
