Bitcoin script: Non-turing complete; does not support smart contracts
Solidity: Turing complete; supports smart contracts; complex applications prohibitively expensive
Komodo: Crypto-conditions + UTXO based smart contracts => a truly groundbreaking development @KomodoPlatform

I feel like people don’t understand the gravity of this. Myself included. Would this be akin to handing your friend money and making an agreement over that single transaction? As opposed to having to layout a smart contract and then proceed with exchange?

Investors probably need to understand the significance of this as it comes to their money. But more importantly it is a significant advancement for the dapp developers. JavaScript vs Rust/Go/C/C++ is the diff in traditional terms of understanding.

Ok. So why would a dev prefer a UTXO based smart contract vs a traditional one that Eth uses (forgive my ignorance, I am not a programmer).

Coz utxo has Blockchain tx fee, not separate txfee like in eth. Unlike theDAO it is impossible to drain a CC contract. If even possible only could get single utxo funds. It’s more secure, efficient, light on system resources than eth implementation.

Try reading crypto conditions draft v4, Inter Ledger Protocol articles, BigchainDB. Try these keywords on search engine. CC contracts are improvements on ILP. It’s is not like ETH at all. And the first ever live implementation of CC on live Blockchain.

TL;DR
@KomodoPlatform#CryptoConditions#SmartContracts are absolutely different than$ETH based contracts. Why choose a weak smart contract implementation than a solid solution, which via ILP is considered industrial smart contracts standard.1 reply 1 retweet 7 likes -
I started reading the breakdowns that JL777 wrote and someone compiled and posted to discord, but I had to look up a LOT of words and terminology. It took me a while to get as far as I did and I have a lot more. I will get through it though, but so far it's intriguing.
