Interesting to read "51% attacks and double-spends are an unfortunate fact of life in the #PoW blockchain world" @siamakmasnavi @CryptoGlobeInfo. Actually, they don't have to be if a chain adopts 'delayed proof of work' to secure them. https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2018/09/bitcoin-gold-team-bittrex-has-decided-to-de-list-btg-after-we-declined-to-pay-them-12372-btg-to-remain-listed/ … #blockchain #fintechpic.twitter.com/pWQItV566u

Pretty low even for kmd to try and gain some popularity from this.

Komodo literally offers a service to prevent 51% attacks, preventing exchanges from double spend losses, & protecting chain integrity/reputation/investors from getting attacked/delisted. You saying Komodo shouldn't bring to light that there is another option for PoW chains? 🤔🤨pic.twitter.com/FwdCP9kMLj

Not at all, kmd is in my eyes probably the best tech going. But I just thought it was a cheap shot against btg.

It's not about popularity or a cheap shot. In fact it's about helping other projects to counter 51% attacks so that projects don't lose money or get delisted on exchanges. It is preventable. It is a real problem. Other chains can adopt dPOW.

How are you storing on the BTC chain? OP_RETURN, @factom or something else?

Check out the white paper, it's comprehensive and isn't a whitepaper in the traditional "cool graphics and vapor promises" sense we often see in crypto, but in a true statement of the technology Komodo is using and how it works.pic.twitter.com/hwX2e9bhQW

ok, so OP_RETURN. But you say you "backup" the network, while OP_RETURNS are limited to 40? bytes. So, is this a standard hash/stash mechanism? If so where are the backups stashed? (I've been around for a bit, hope you don't mind the Q's)

          Replying to @mongoosenewyork @Regnar__ and

There are two different things going on here. 1) Komodo block hashes are stored to BTC OP_RETURN and the same data is stored in the Komodo chain for the nodes and miners to keep track of.(The proofs stored as similar to the SPV proofs).

          2) For another chain to have dPOW, their block hashes are written to Komodo chain and the same data is written to the chain itself so it's own miners/nodes know about the valid chain without also storing the Komodo chain
