What really bothers me now is how many of these incidences are we going to continue to sit through saying the same things over and over again How many of these incidences are we willing to have happen before it’s enough. Apparently Las Vegas wasn’t enough, neither was Parkland
I’m so sorry @TeamYouTube @YouTube @Google for what happened today. Your crew do not deserve to have that happen
I truly hope everyone who was injured pull through and make it through the night to recover from their injuries
Youtube means a lot to many people across the world

But here we are nearly 2 1/2 years after the mass shooting in San Bernardino, CA and we’re again faced with another situation of workplace violence in CA with no actionable things to call for it other than more security drills & more security Did I even mention Yountville, CA?

The students at Parkland including
@Emma4Change and@davidhogg111 among other people were willing to step up for change despite the consequences and risk to their future endeavors in life, even that devolves into arguing over and over by us asking if students can truly understandShow this thread -
At some point we all need to address our American culture about guns and people The way the 2nd amendment is written states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed
Show this thread -
A militia by definition is: a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency The problem with this is one simple fact. Nowhere in that 2nd amendment does it ever give anyone the right to kill each other And the worst part?
Show this thread -
The majority of people who keep dying in all these mass casualty events are your every day American citizen, our fellow brothers sisters. Not enemies invading America And before you say it, yes a few mass casualties were people who can be classified as enemies of America but
Show this thread -
They were repelled by the police, the national guard, the military and in some cases by average Americans The time we need a militia, our military would be overwhelmed, half the country would be taken over by enemies in dropships, in tanks, and flooding our shores with infantry
Show this thread -
We obviously need a well regulated militia just in case one day someone invaded us badly enough But what we don’t need are people who are unhinged, making irrational decisions, picking up weapons and shooting whomever they think should die for the day, likely a preventable act

Those people dying have family, have children, have daily lives that should never be impacted by shootings What I ask people to do is figure out how we can develop real solutions to have safe schools, safe employments, safe concerts, safe parks, safe airports, safer America
Show this thread -
How do I know my job site won’t be next, how do I know my kid’s school won’t be next, how do I know some public place we go to visit won’t be next? The last shootings have proven it can and will happen to anyone at any time unless we change this for the future of all Americans
Show this thread -
And the answer to a safer America does not always equate to better security or better guns because each time we do that the next mass shooter will just find another way to do the same thing We honestly need to start with the statistics and figure out what others are doing right

The right question to ask is why are some of these countries of the world having remarkably amazing success with gun violence? We honestly need to consider replicating their successes here in America if we want to see real changes https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2018/02/15/586014065/deaths-from-gun-violence-how-the-u-s-compares-to-the-rest-of-the-world …
