    Allen, these short guidelines must have been written by an anthropologist or similar. Definitely NOT say no to figures in posters (or papers or presentations). This is the best way to convey clear messages . The rest of guidelines are good including the one on footnotes

    “Stamp out the scourge of clear posters!” Good advice on making awful posters.

    Our joint research USA-Spain by showing that high-exposure level diesel engine exhaust is associated with bladder cancer in both countries. In the 2012 IARC evaluation this was not clear contrary to lung cancer. Perhaps is more plausible now

    Very nice animations of world path of smoke and aerosols from Australian fires from NASA. The fires in Australia are not just causing devastation locally. Beyond New Zealand the smoke travelled halfway around Earth, crossing South America.

    Greg, not always as simple as that. If i send to my assistant or my PhDs emails at 2am in the morning, I am sure they get stressed. So, better keep them and send in office hours.
