What a weird email. The “appeal” link gives you no place to appeal, but it also says that if you don’t change your channel name you’ll stay verified, but it also says some channels will no longer be verified.
The most frustrating thing is they don't actually define what a "large" audience is. Like, is hundreds of thousands of subscribers enough, or does it have to be millions? I don't know if it's worth appealing 'cause I don't know if I my audience qualifies as "large".
I mean if you figure out *how* to appeal, lemme know.
The link in the email works for me?
Oh you’re right, my gmail app must have been screwing up which link got clicked.
I can only click it so many times without it working. How did you fix that?
Copy the link and paste in browser. Or.. hold on. Here. https://www.google.com/appserve/mkt/p/AFnwnKV0mFEC0RJxYH2s_ZOj9cLTobNhHDxFxkKrhma8SPkjbMQI-6p2G4iUwOalWOC9JDXS6VrwC_5ACOxdI0TbTiioOC1zygpnzCJx_Y-T5S5_LvKZwNaAeu0lASW84vNHmVfrWloZ4i02RDNNX6Nb …
Wait. Dammit, it doesn’t work again.
The same link goes different places depending on what app I’m in. I can confirm it works on Safari, my guess being that I’m perma-signed into google there.
I figured it out. For whatever reason, when I clicked the link in my email, it would send me to youtube's support page... but logged in as my personal google account. Only when I switched to my youtube-linked account did I have the appeal option.pic.twitter.com/jZVKijkGhs
Let me know what happens when you submit an appeal. When I tried the “submit” button greyed out and aside from that there was no other form of “you successfully submitted” feedback.
I got an email saying thanks for your submission and that they'll get back to me before the changes occur with their verdict.
