Yeah… I just watched that Suicide Squad game overview trailer…
The focus on firearms, leveling up to progress through the story, and the focus on live-service elements…

Either way, I hope GB/GBC games run at a 5X scale when playing handheld.
Sadly, GBA games are 240px wide by 160px tall, which doesn’t scale cleanly to fill a 720p or 1080p screen. GBA games will have to use borders for sharp pixels or interpolation for softer pixels.

But for some unknown reason, all of the footage shown during the Nintendo Direct includes borders across the top and bottom of the image.
There’s a chance that this could be Docked footage outputting 1080p, with a 7x scale, bringing the game’s resolution to 1120x1008…

Alright get ready for some basic math and nitpicking.
Game Boy and Game Boy Color games are 160px wide by 144px tall.
Scaling that up by a factor of 5 would allow for a resolution of 800x720. Which would fit perfectly on the Nintendo Switch’s 720p screen.

Now that it's published, I can finally say:
While I appreciate that publishers and their PR teams are going to make decisions that prioritize the well-being of their products, a lot of critics, myself included, only got codes a few days before the review embargo lifted.

Credit where credit’s due: while could’ve silently posted a tweet or blog post, they took the time to film a very candid video with the game’s director, detailing why #KnockoutCity is going away. Not a lot of studios are this transparent.
