If it turns out that you can't actually treat the sick, feed people, create frictionless borders and grow magic money trees by not knowing what 'sovereignty' means, then there could be trouble ahead.

The inadvertent irony of Brexiters who voted to abolish free movement only to discover that abolishing free movement means that movement will no longer be free.

The heads of 150 UK unis wrote a letter about the impending damage of Brexit, which reports on. To give "balance" they quote - a man who stepped down from running a secondary school because "there was more to it than I realised"

It's far from ideal, but it's the 2nd best way to save our country. First best way is for Parliament to just call the whole thing off, but they won't do that, will they?

Pretty scary watching Britain plunge itself ever deeper into hot water, shrugging shoulders & spouting crazed nonsense as our govt presses self-destruct in all our names. Across the world, I am constantly asked in puzzled bemusement - who is making Britain act this way? Why?

Come on, guys! Listen to John Redwood. After all, he got a knighthood for services to telling everyone Brexit is great for the UK while telling investors to invest elsewhere.

People are very quick to judge Chris Grayling on the Brexit ferry contract debacle when he’s actually done some sterling incompetence on the rail network as well as the imaginary drone crisis at Gatwick

There is a genuine situation of crisis in a country if liars and mountebanks like Redwood, Johnson, Rees Mogg, Farage are suddenly treated as 'representative' and given access to uncritical air time. The BBC as we knew it has ceased to exist. Other institutions will follow.

How "balance" works. John Redwood is allowed on to peddle the usual discredited Brexiter lies to hushed, reverent silence from John Humphrys. Then Humphrys argues ferociously with Ken Clarke, peddling the same discredited Brexiter lies in his own "impartial" argument.

Ex-Tory chancellor Ken Clarke says the UK should have an "open ended" delay on leaving the EU by revoking the decision to exit and reviving it later. Time is needed to form a consensus on the future relationship with the EU.
