    Because the two are intrinsically linked. That's 1% more people who need feeding, clean water, land, housing, medicine, energy & transport. Consumption is rising because we are catering for ever-larger cities & population. The poorer nations are consuming more as they advance.

    Everybody is talking about unemployment , poverty , scarcity of basic resources. But no one is talking about the root cause of these issues i.e Day by day increasing population. I think time has arrived that government make strict laws to control the population rate.
