The two reactions that I’m hearing a lot about this development – which I share – are “huh?” and “wow.”

That was fast: Judge Wood demands that Gleason supplement his letter seeking a protective order (i.e. the one with the Schneiderman accusations) with a memorandum of law by May 18, or withdraw his request.pic.twitter.com/IleNklXWpx

Adam, is this the same Peter J. Gleason?https://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/mar/22/peter-gleason-new-york-apartment …
-
Proviso here, "'pears." This Mr. Gleason has not yet responded to my request for comment. I don't want this tweet to go the way of Canadian Cohen.

There appear to be two Peter J Gleasons practicing in NYS...pic.twitter.com/k9uzp5Tefl

Worth noting that this lawyer's professional email of record is an AOL email address. As a lawyer, that is...revealing.

Didn't escape my notice either.

Very interesting - it looks like Trump & Cohen were involved in the Schneiderman story.
-
Whoa, wait a second! Gleason's letter appears to be referring to different women who allegedly made allegations. We should not jump to the conclusion that this is the same or even related to the women whose allegations are recounted in the Ronan/Mayer story.
-
I don't know, they may have been different women but the fact that Trump & Cohen knew about these accusations tells me that somewhere in there may be a link between them & the women who came forward to Farrow & Mayer. It's far too much of a coincidence for me to ignore. +
-
We know there are no coincidences in the Trump World, & the timing is also incredibly suspicious. Even if the women's stories are true, I'm guessing they received some form of encouragement to come forward at this time, now that I've seen this.
-
It looks like Trump had leverage over Schneiderman, and may have used it in the past to shut him up. It would have been better if Schneiderman was out much earlier. Also, what kind of permission did Gleason had to share their story?
-
Agree it would've been better to have Schneiderman out earlier. This whole piece of news is eye-opening & bizarre. I, too, wonder why Gleason thought he had permission to share the women's stories.
-
You know what else I wonder? Did Mueller know about any of this stuff before teaming up with Schneiderman on some things? Or did he have no choice other than to go with a guy who was open to blackmail?
-
I am going to say that hat he had no choice. Mueller works with the office, not just an individual, though. Sure he had a few choice words about this crooked NY liberal. But he’s gone, and it’s for the better.
