In addition, stay humble but also reward yourself when you are seeing improvements. Regardless of how good you may have been in the past or how good you want to be, recognize and reward progress. So often people ignore it completely or want to skip straight to top player status.

How do you study others?
-
I study sets of Tea and Sinji who are the 2 best Pac players in the world. I just watch sets on YT and see how they approach MUs or how they use Pac differently than me. Just trying to understand how and why players think and play the way they do can be very beneficial.

It's okay to be dissatisfied with yourself, almost natural, I'd argue. It's not okay to stay there.
-
Of course! It's completely normal. People just need to know how to channel that into motivation to improve rather than sit there and mope.

Do you have any articles or advice on how to improve mindset? I feel like that’s one of the first things to work on when trying to perform better.
-
I sadly don't have articles on hand, but what worked personally for me is just being humble and realizing we're all human. I go into every set respecting the other player to the fullest, and any time I lose or even get hit I mentally ask why it happened, and how it can be avoided
