Same. 200 pages in and I've never been less impressed by a recommendation. The writing honestly reminds me of when I am doing an essay right before it is due and don't have time to reread it and make it good.

So true. It's also hard to root for the protagonist and the women in the book were unbearably annoying. It's easy to think of it as a TV series plot tho--like one episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer kind of stuff.
