The growing scandal of Seaborne and their pizza delivery ferry service is actually the perfect metaphor for Brexit itself. Rich, privileged, clueless opportunists and tory mates looking to make a fraudulent quick buck off the back of a national crisis. Disgusting.

The good news: Jacob Rees-Mogg replied to my letter outlining all the ways Brexit will disproportionately impact women! 😀 The bad news: he doesn’t have time for 50% of the population 😔

So Sajid Javid declares 40 asylum seekers in a boat a major incident. Be under no illusion, this is the nonsense of Brexit spelled large. They are preparing for a second referendum that will be fought exclusively on the threat of immigrants over running our streets (again).

A study published in the BMJ proves parachutes are useless. The airplane used to conduct the study was both on the ground and stationary; however, this isn't mentioned until the fifth paragraph of the paper, which leads to the researchers' larger point - beware of headlines.

On an average day in the UK: --> 3,700 are forced to visit a food bank. --> 5,400 suffer domestic violence. --> 4,750 sleep rough on the streets. --> 4 migrants arrive in boats across the Channel. Guess which one the government (and the BBC) is calling a “crisis”?

Make no mistake, it is fear manipulated by power that led us down a path to Trump, May, the alt right and the fascist resurgence. The cure is education and listening, something between the misleading cries of the media, the pause between thought and blame. Please .
