For anyone too young to remember, before Red Red Wine, UB40 were just as political & street cred as The Specials or The Beat. That’s why MI5 tapped their phones.

It was patently obvious at the time that Washington's 'humanitarian aid' stunt on the Venezuelan border was part of a regime change operation. It's maddening that US gov reports are more realistic about this than most of the corporate media, HRW, etc

Buried in an article on Venezuela's economic outlook (which grudgingly acknowledges the positive impact of the govt's reforms) is this major admission: “The evolution of US sanctions under the Biden administration remains the key determinant"

A Palestinian held in Guantanamo Bay for 15 years without charge is filing an appeal with the UN. He was accused of being part of al-Qaeda, but never charged. He is still detained. The CIA subjected Abu Zubaydah to torture like waterboarding (83x in 1 month) and he lost an eye.

The idea that Starmer has “stamped out antisemitism” means “it’s no longer appearing in the papers” and maybe you can see why that’s a problem, when the loudly and repeatedly declared assertion was that it was an institutional rot, a cancer eating at the organs and so on and on.
