The ruling today against is so serious and so disgusting. In a private text message to a friend, she disclosed rape and has been successfully sued by the rapist for telling someone what happened to her. How are women and girls ever supposed to disclose now??

Stop patronising us; most of the ordinary women who post on the Mumsnet feminism boards know WAY more than most politicians on issues like the EqA 2010, the GRA, and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. Politicians could learn from us if they listened. Try it. 16/16

So, we're constantly being told that: "Boys don't read books about girls." Until now, the "solution", has always been to blame the books. When are we going to start blaming the underlying thinking that girls are inherently less worthy, less interesting and less relevant, instead?

Of course, we could do this by encouraging *men* to spread out and go close the gender gaps in nursing, GPs, primary schools teaching, social work, hairdressing. But, no, we always make it the women who are the issue...

I am trying very hard not to swear on social media these days, but as someone who spent over a year homeless in Glasgow: fuck this absolute noise. Homeless folk need homes and help, not a fucking bin to sleep in. Jesus wept.
