Rather astonishing that people who know nothing about the topic feel the need to signal said ignorance. Maybe read some research instead? Lots of great stuff on biorxiv.https://twitter.com/mbeisen/status/992022072669847552 …

it's astonishing that so many scientists feel comfortable making precise prediction about the genetic architecture of, consequences of mutations in and population genetics of intelligence - a phenotype we can't even define, let alone claim we understand

Why don't you study for another degree? One that involves genetics perhaps?

Hell even for hair color its not even close to being properly explained by genes on a population level.

Yeah and the research proves him totally right. Even height has zero % validated genetic cause within pop and especially between groups.

But one can easily select for height.

If it is so easy, how come they can't pinpoint causal genes as easily? How come not even 1% of height variance within and between group has been causally validated? Can environmental effects be selected for?

It just is. All the dog breeds created in a blink of an eye show that a lot more complex traits can be selected for quite easily, compared to height. Also, I'd like to point that you don't have to disassemble and understand a radio to use it properly. It just works.

How do you know dog breed height works like human height? Human height has dramatically changed in recent century, and it closely follows protein and environment factors. Also as for dog breeds: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0168159115001719 …

How is it any different and why it should be? 55% of our genes are shared with the LUCA and that is a lot. Also there are 1-2 std differences in height in human population that is retained when their genes are 'carried' into another environment (pygmies). Why are NE so tall?

Dogs have different type of genome to humans and selection can be in said difference. Also, Pygmies height has been validated as genetically innate? And on top of that the genes that cause them are the same as for everyone else? Where? Can you show me? https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1570677X16300065 …

Yes, people with more pygmy ancestry tend to be shorter.
