Dalton talks about the health outcomes of Black infants vs White infants. While environment matters, and no denies it, I disagree that gene-environment interaction is less plausible. The most recent evidence on this shows that there is definelty a genetic effect herepic.twitter.com/1llyjL9909

        'Genes' (whatever they are; https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/molecular-genetics/#GenSkedon't …) don't contain context-independent 'information'.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2223161/ …

I just use the term SNP and haplogroups at this point tbh. They aren't the same things but the term gene is used for both of them (for better or for worse)

For practical scientific use, "gene" usually refers to protein coding region. Popular accounts of genetics often use "gene" in the Darwinian sense of the unit of selection making it a heterogeneous unit at the molecular level. Often it is more fitting to talk abt alleles/variants

I would agree with this statement. But regardless, here is the paper cited within the book. Also here is my essay on the subject in case you haven't seen it already https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/5b3e/2551393d421a8730c16e54369757c2e66890.pdf … https://preservingeurope.wordpress.com/2018/03/15/mixed-race-infants-are-unhealthy-because-of-genetics-and-epigenetics/amp/?__twitter_impression=true …

But the overwhelming majority of groups particularly non blacks are not unhealthy in these things, aka most mixed people are healthy oh and Hispanics have the same LBW as whites even a little lower... and Hispanics, Asians and Whites have very similar same in preterm birth.pic.twitter.com/AdPfWdMI2U

I will respond in due time and look at CDC closely like I did previously, I am going to be busy throughout the coming weeks. Regardless, most "Asian Americans" and Pasificic Islanders aren't mixed. For Hispanics, I am not sure where they are getting their health records from.
