am I the only one uncomfortable with the "I have a point, now if you scientists would just prove it we can all be better off" argument? I don't have a dog in the fight on this issue, just wary of pursuit of political points via 'science' rather than scientific pursuit of truth:)

The good thing about science is that if done correctly, the motives and preferences of the researchers don't matter. Would be easy in this case to pre-register a design.

I am no scientist - more of a remote viewer or rampant speculator - but I'd be interested in reading through unbiased, well structured research. We champion the fight against cancer - we should presumably be doing something to better understand and fight intelligencelessness
