Posthuma is wrong. The h² of IQ is about 80% for adults, meaning the best genetic prediction is r = .89. This is about the same as a multiple hour, expensive IQ test. Depends on what you mean by short term. Projections of impact of embryo selection is difficult because it depends on the uptake and the future effectiveness. I think the latter will be high, but uptake is hard to guess at.
