The "classic biological race concept" is surely that of Blumenbach, who pioneered craniometric classification of humans, and he plainly stated that there was mixture within & between the major groups he identified. Also said Native Americans were of mixed Asian/European descent.
Forensic anthropologists can identify racial grouping by cranial measurements alone (Howell dataset).
