Lol but guess how much clinical companies charge for an exome. Hint: $10,000

You really have no idea what you’re even quoting. I actually work in clinical and research genetics. Illumina is a research company for labs. Clinical labs charge around $10k for a trio. You wouldn’t believe how hard we push to get ins to cover testing. Great try though!
-
Trio is 3 people, so we're down to 3.33k according to you. You should work on your attitude.

-
It’s your attitude that needs adjusting. You said so much by posting only a screenshot of Illumina’s website. Too pompous to even engage. My original comment was neutral. You could’ve asked me a follow-up question or for sources. You provoked that type of aggressive response.
-
It's not Illumina's website...
-
Okay. It’s still an Illumina service.
I am aware of the $1000 genome goal. This really should not have been as combative a convo as it became. Was just pointing out the realities of clinical genetics.

It's not the floor, it's time to ditch the log scale on the ordinate
-
It's the floor of the plot. They just need to add the 0.1 step, and then 0.01.

Time to switch to log axis.
-
It is a log axis...
-
That'll teach me for trying to be clever ... I should have told you change base and lower the minimum

Now it’ll be the level of robust coverage for the price. Plus single sequencing - that ain’t cheap!
