Who knows how long the Chinese have actually been in southern/central China, though, or how long the climate there has been the same. We now know East Asians only reached Vietnam around 3-2k BC, displacing Andamanese-like natives. Still have snow-blindness adapted eyes.

Proto-East Asians are atleast native as south as Beijing though(Tianyuan genome), but again, who knows how long the climate would've been the same as today's. Could also be diverse, seasonal climate or rapid climate change after the ice age rather than just cold climate.
