It's the mystery of shared environment. It is often very small or minor, contrary to expectations. And when we can detect it, the usual explanations about it are mostly wrong (parents, neighborhood etc.), leaving one to wonder what causes it really comprises.

Note though that there was some shared environment functioning here, but separate from the parents - if I understood the study correctly.
