Police estimates of false rape accusations often around 10% for those 'proven to be false'. Who knows what the real % is?

Note that a few of the 'false accusations' were actually false false accusations. These are unhappy cases with young Muslim girls raped by family members forced to retract their charges... :(

The punishment for false accusations were found to be quite light. 34% are not charged at all. Of those charged, some still get no penalty when found guilty. Most common penalty is 30 days suspended prison i.e. nothing happens usually. 4% were given prison or psychiatric treatmnt
