(not sure if you disagree with it or didn't know about this one, I know you don't believe there is much evidence for in utero effects)
The original claim is about sex-linked genetics, adoption studies are irrelevant.
yeah, I'm just saying the most recent one I know does find higher mother-offspring correlation, but interprets it as non-genetic
Loehlin probably sees IQ as polygenic enough to dismiss the X chromosome mechanism, aside from a few diseases like you say.
His study is way too imprecise for this kind of thing. His paper is a how-to paper for people with larger samples.
