I'm aware of the Nazi maps. But GDR seems the much better fit. Saxony now hardcore nationalist; in 1932/3 was about average for Nazis.
I guess you will actually have to do some statistical research to find out. One cannot always just decide things based on impression of maps

It needs to actually be a fallacy, though. Maps can indeed be sufficient depending on the variable in question.

To be fair, all my map conclusions are based on other evidence in addition to a given map.
