Various forms of speech are not protected, and/or illegal. Overall that's a good thing. This'll likely fall under hate speech.

This kind of speech definitely is protected by US standards. Only speech that results in immediate harm is illegal ('fire in cinema').

It's wider than that, afaik, e.g.: burning crosses sometimes seen as illegal intimidation, although cross burning in general isn't banned.
