Is this a real thing? Do authors with small samples tend to write them more with words instead of numerals? @MicheleNuijten @jamesheathers

If you already have the fulltexts, this would be a quick study, but potentially very nice illustration of QRP in presentation of results.

Maybe the same study on whether the sample size is in the abstract. I skimmed 20 or so stereotype threat studies & found only 1 an n=

Good idea.

Isnt the convention to use words when the number is smaller than 12, numerals for greater? How does that hide smll sample size?

-
No one should use ever words to state sample size. Numerals are much easier to locate by skimming. I bet there will be an effect for >12 too
-
I was taught numerals for <10, and for the first word of a sentence. Copy editors change it all the time though when publishing
-
I mean written, obviously
-
Taught in Denmark too, but this won't account for any (potential) findings with n>10 and word/numeral use.

Your meme should say "disapproval" - spelled wrongly as "dissaproval".

Who gives a fuck? :)
