Not good for gaming, but I don't game anymore. My main problems are Microsoft Office and Abbyy FineReader. Have to run in a Win10 VM.

I use LibreOffice for all my own work, but sometimes editors make use of fancy MSO features, and LO<>MSO compatibility isn't 100%.

yeah and I doubt it ever will be. i don't even trust MS office on mac for sending well formatted docs when it really counts

I moved my desktop to Linux Mint from Windows 10. I have a Virtualbox for my Windows needs within Mint. No regrets. Great for dev work.

ah I made a real go at running linux on the (primary) desktop around 2000, but decided it's not worth the hassle after about a year or so :)
