Why wouldn't they affect polygenic traits
Affected loci are randomly distributed hence no impact on polygenic traits, but possibly large on monogenic.

It depends on the size of the founder sample, if it's smaller the variation can be important. Plus the subset may not be random.

Also depends on number of causal variants. The larger, the smaller effect. Nut do some simulations!
