Or they look at China and see how smart non-Westerners not necessarily can achieve democracy or fight corruption. @KirkegaardEmil

Do you have it plotted somewhere?
@Paradigmian @MarkF60 -
I'd love to see an English version of the plot
@Paradigmian @MarkF60 -
Doesn't matter for this purpose as you can obviously make out almost all the countries. China = Kina, the biggest outlier in the entire plot
-
I was looking for Russia and most of Eastern Europe.
@Paradigmian @MarkF60 -
Tjekkeit = Czech? Estland = Estonia? Østrig = Austria. Ungarn = Hungary. Hviderusland = ? Some unlabeled points, too.
-
All correct. Belarus (bela-rus, white russia, hvide-rus-land). Unlabelled points is to avoid overlapping.

a big outlier, indeed, at 1.4B people. (~_^) e asians/slavs all(?) lower S than WEIRDS.
@JayMan471@Paradigmian @MarkF60 -
Yes, but effect way too large if estimated from China alone. WEIRD are higher than expected on IQ, but not that much.
-
but consistently higher. wrt china, just sayin' size matters irl. (~_^)
@JayMan471@Paradigmian @MarkF60 -
Not wise to weigh countries by sample size directly. Gives too much weight to semi-random political decisions that affect large population.
-
if size mattered in this regard, you'd think india would be an outlier in s asia.
@JayMan471@Paradigmian @MarkF60 -
I am referring to doing a weighted analysis with n as weight instead of unweighted (current plot). See discussion in Admixture in Americas.
-
i know.
