Why not unstandardized coefficients? (1 percentage change in ancestry X predicts a change of Y IQ points)

this is mostly children... age will drive large part of variance otherwisepic.twitter.com/FjLx6wRq4g

How does that affect whether they should report unstandardized or standardized results?

their cognitive measures aren't standardized for age already i believe

Why would it matter? Regress the scores on age and use the residuals or include age as a covariate.

that's basically what they're doing and they're not working with IQ scores per se

They report beta coefficients. I'd like to see the coefficients in original units. Their g measure prolly has SD=1,

so original coefficients would tell how many SDs one percent point change in ancestry X predicts g to change.
