I cannot find a simple "add to friend list" feature. Is it only possible to have group chats? @RiotChat

you can do one-to-one chats; on Web press that "start chat" button on the bottom left :)
Yes, we found that, but it's a bit odd one cannot just have a list of persons without having to have an open chat with them all. @RiotChat
