The gaps by subject are different too. Maths gap is smaller than reading.

Gaps vary randomly on subtests to some degree. I wouldn't make much of it unless the difference is v. large.

I wonder what it is broken down by ethnicity. GCSE and other KS2 data show Africans do the same as whites while Caribs worse

Not by too much though, around 10% pass rate difference IIRC.
