@ManneGerell re. the report cited here http://mgerell.blogspot.dk/2016/08/sarnecki-invandrare-och-brottslighet.html … fairly poor country of origin data. Origin country matters a lot!
Do you know of any decent datasets with country of origin outcomes from Sweden? I can't find any!
-
-
Individual level data sets? You'll probably need to get it from Statistics Sweden (after getting ethics board approval)
-
Looks like MOMS 2012/2015 has individual level data which you used in your paper. I assume it's anonymized, yes?
-
Yes, and you can apply to use MOMS, but it doesnt have country of origin, only foreign borne etc.
-
I applied. They aren't very clear about what variables they have on the website as far as I can tell?
-
Which website do you mean? malmo.se ?
-
http://malmo.se/Kommun--politik/Trygghetsfragor-i-Malmo/Sarskilda-utmaningar/Brotts--och-drogforebyggande-arbete/Malmo-omradesundesokning---MOMS/Resultat-MOMS.html … Only PDF files. Annoying format. Have to use OCR/pdf library to get structured data out.
-
I'll email you the appllication form, you should have already gotten the birth country data.
