ggplot2 doesn't give so informative errors. In this case, you forgot to put variables in aes().

We can be more general: Hadley packages generally give weird sounding errors. Should use more input checks.

More general: H's pckgs pretty darn awesome :)! Dplyr has changed my life, and ggplot2 is v powerful.

We can agree on that. :) Hadleyverse is awesome. I often still use plyr due to ease of use.
