Right, so obviously something else going on too. :) Overall r=.18 for gca (4 subtests) x cortex area.

Sneaky: I merged the leaked genomics dataset with the official behavior dataset. They left in the subject IDs, easy :)
-
recently or is this from awhile back?
-
Old data, I just didn't merge them before today.

adding some jitter would be cool http://docs.ggplot2.org/current/geom_jitter.html …
-
I don't like jitter. One can do a violin plot or whatever, but I didn't implement that in my wrapper function yet.
-
density/histogram are fine, but since you're plotting dots, the overlap can be misleading at time. link to PING dataset pls?
-
PING dataset is another one of those "you have to apply first" datasets. http://pingstudy.ucsd.edu/index.php
-
thanks! I've done some fMRI analysis in another life. extract brain and unfolding the cortex is a pain. maybe easier now:)

Is the cortex area normalized for body surface area or some measure of body size? Or is that unimportant?
-
As far as I know, it is not controlled for body size. I suspect that is important but no body size data in this dataset.
