Not a good measure of mental problems though. Surprising to me that something like 55% of _all_ users has seen a therapist!

Some more. Not so large sample size for this one unfortunately.pic.twitter.com/RUVNeY2KQH

There are more useful questions, but everything I looked at is consistent with the pattern.pic.twitter.com/IfPBYy2F26

What were the results of statistically analysing differences between groups? Can't tell much just by looking at bars
-
You _can_ tell by looking at the bars because you can use the 95% CIs. I didn't model the data because it was unnecessary.
-
For more on using CIs to convert to inferential stats, see http://gen.lib.rus.ec/book/index.php?md5=2D78D182BB9623A201AFF6B19568FC89 …

Yep you are correct, my bad. Now I'm just showing how little I know about stats haha
-
Pretty hardcore that ~90% of "Other" gendered people have seen a therapist. Maybe self-selected, but still!
-
Yes that is surprisingly high

however, if 60% of people consult a therapist, that is profoundly normal behaviour
-
Yes. It's not a great outcome variable -- too normal.

(Do hair dyes permeate skin? I seem to recall dye products warn against getting any on your skin.)
-
I guess that is a possible environmental feedback model. Emo. problems → hair dye → more emo. problems → more dye → ...

Well as
@JayMan471 would say, it's all about the sample. Is this sample N=8k good enough ? -
Size isn't the only thing that matters.
-
Yes, it's also the asortative selection/association of the sample.
-
Assortative selection is for mating. But yes, OKCupid is self-selected. Easy to be a lazy Twitter critic. :)

Many dyes, like TiO2, act in part because they are small and permeate through substances. Skin? http://phys.org/news/2015-12-modest-nanoparticle-brain-cells.html … ..

How can you claim this pattern is not just due to randomness? Also, it's unethical to disclose personal info without consent
