I've found Lewontin's 1972 assertion that 15% of genetic diversity was racial and 85% was not to be a valuable contribution. To my mind, 15% is a lot. Humans are really complicated, so having one factor explaining 15% of the variance is big. But nobody else sees it that way.
Are we going to get a Lewontin fallacy for cultural differences too soon? Only 7-13.5% of variance is between cultures! Really bad map.
