@KirkegaardEmil I didn't realise you had a degree in linguistics. Perhaps you might be able to point me in the right direction on this one - are there any studies/data looking ethic groups' verbal IQ vs linguistic complexity?

Not sure what methods that linguists have to objectively measure 'complexity', but it is often said that English and German are the most precise languages. Euros have a verbal tilt than East Asians, who (mostly) utilise a logographic script - probably no coincidence.

I wonder also if populations that have highly tonal dialects like Cantonese exhibit detectable neurological differences in the regions responsible for aural processing and pitch acuity.
